BorderDash ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
BorderDash is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:
- No account required: You can use BorderDash without creating an account or providing any personal information.
- Community reports: When you submit a fuel check or VEP check report, we collect only the checkpoint location, lane, and status you select. No personal identifiers are attached to these reports.
- Analytics: We may collect anonymous usage data to improve the app, such as which features are used most frequently.
Third-Party Services
BorderDash uses the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob: We display ads to support the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Maps Platform: We use Google Maps for traffic data and the RON 100 station map. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Data Sources
BorderDash displays information from various public sources:
- Traffic data from Google Maps Platform
- Camera feeds from LTA (Singapore) and PLUS/LLM (Malaysia)
- Fuel prices from publicly available information
- Fuel check and VEP check reports from community submissions
Data Storage
Community-submitted reports (fuel checks and VEP checks) are stored on our servers and are visible to all app users. These reports do not contain any personal information.
Children's Privacy
BorderDash is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
